Julie Ann (Middleton) Keegan passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 17th, 2020. She was born in Crookston, MN on May 14th, 1962 to Donald and Jean Middleton.
Julie grew up in Grand Forks, ND and graduated from Red River High School in 1980.
After high school, Julie attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN for a Medical Secretary degree. She became a medical transcriptionist and was one of the best. She worked for Grand Forks Clinic, Dr. Pettit, and Dr. Schulz. Most recently she worked for Valley Bone and Joint and North Dakota Eye Clinic. She was a valued employee with a strong work ethic. She had many good friends through these connections.
She married Randy Keegan in 1983, and they had two boys, Kyle and Cory, which gave Julie her greatest joy. Her passion was her adorable granddaughters, Khloe and Kinsley. They were her world!
Family time, lake life, trying new recipes and cooking for others were Julie’s favorite activities. She was an avid QVC, HSN and GMA Steals and Deals shopper! If there was a new kitchen tool or cleaning product~ Julie knew about and most likely ordered it.
Julie will be forever loved and missed by her son Kyle (Kassie) Keegan, Grand Forks, ND, Cory (Katie) Keegan, Fargo, ND. Granddaughters Khloe and Kinsley, Grand Forks, ND. Mother, Jean Middleton, Grand Forks, ND. Sisters Jan Kurtyka, JoEllen (Steve) Paintner and Jinell (Darrin) Wavra all of Grand Forks, ND. Special friend Vic Hrabik, his children and grandkids who considered her family. She has numerous nieces and nephews.
Julie is preceded in death by her dad, Don Middleton, brother-in-law LeRoy Kurtyka, and grandparents Thanferd and Emma Johnson and DJ and Evelyn Middleton.
Memorial service will be on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 1:30 pm at Calvary Lutheran Church, 1405 S. 9th St.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 5-7pm with a prayer service to follow at 7pm at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks.
