Judith Yoney

Judith “Judy” Yoney, 77, San Antonio, TX, and formerly of Grand Forks, ND, died Monday, December 2, 2019 in Memory Care of Westover Hills, San Antonio, TX.

Judith Arlene Kinneberg was born on July 7, 1942 in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Oscar and Laura (Westby) Kinneberg. She lived with her family in Petersburg, ND where she attended school and graduated from Petersburg High School.

Judy married Richard Yoney on November 5, 1960 in Grand Forks, ND. She graduated with her associate degree from Aaker’s Business College. She worked for a short time at a jewelry store in Grand Forks, and then as a dental assistant for Dr. Nord. She then began her career as an interior decorator with Home Interiors and Gifts, Inc. for more than 30 years until her retirement. During her retirement, she worked part-time for Christopher and Banks until moving to San Antonio in November 2016.

Judy was a kind and caring person who loved spending time with family and friends, reading, and caring for her dogs.

Survivors include her daughter, Darcie (Todd) Arend, San Antonio, TX; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Wes (Diane) Kinneberg, Bemidji, MN and Terry (Nancy) Kinneberg, Petersburg, ND.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Yoney in 2008; son, Brian Yoney in 2011.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2019 at United Lutheran Church of Grand Forks.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church. 

Burial will be in the Petersburg (ND) Cemetery.
