John Lee Nelson, 49, of Grand Forks, North Dakota, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 11th, 2023. John was born on April 25th, 1974, to Clyde Axel Nelson and Sharon Marie Nelson (Kline) in St James, Minnesota. John grew up and attended school in Madelia, Minnesota. After leaving his childhood home, John made his way to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he enjoyed working as a taxi driver. In 2006 John met Judith Virginia Geshick, a fellow taxi driver, while they were parked on the same taxi stand.
From their first interaction, they were both captivated and enamored with each other, becoming instantly inseparable. They were married on December 24th, 2009, and had two precious daughters, Shanna (15) and Alyssa (13), who he cherished and adored. There was no other place he ever wanted to be than at home with his family. Settling into their new home, John thrived in working as a truck driver for Holland M Bar D in Grand Forks, and Bell Energy Dakota Petroleum Services in Killdeer, North Dakota.
