Jeffery A. Holte

Jeff A. Holte, 64, Grand Forks, ND, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023 at home.

Jeffery Alan Holte was born January 4, 1959 in Grand Forks, the son of Ronald and Eileen (Hendrickson) Holte. He was raised and educated at Thompson, ND and Graduated from Thompson High School in 1977. He graduated from AVTI as a diesel mechanic in 1979. Jeff worked as a commercial truck driver for Strata Corporation for 42 years before his retirement in May of 2023.

Jeff restored and owned a 1957 Corvette which he built from the frame up. He was well known for his excellent body shop work and restoration. Several of the vehicles he worked on won awards, including Hot Rod of the Year for NDSRA. Jeff was also involved in car clubs, car shows and was an avid NDSU fan.  He loved his furry family members Cooper and Sofie. 

Jeff married Lynn Knuth on February 21, 1998 at Walle Lutheran Church, rural Thompson. She survives along with Jeff’s father, Ron Holte; siblings, Rhonda (Lee) DeLisle, Mike (Lucia) Holte, Lori (Scott) Wurzbacher, Larry (Connie) Holte, and Rick ( Laurie) Holte; nieces and nephews, Tanner (Lauren) Johnson, Ryan (Olivia) Wurzbacher, Tanya Johnson, Martin (Hailey) Santos, Tyler Johnson, Alyssa Wurzbacher, Nicholas Holte, Makayla Holte, Hannah Holte and Ellie Holte.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Holte

Funeral services will be Friday, October 27, 2023 at Walle Lutheran Church of rural Thompson, ND at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM with a 6:30 PM prayer service in Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will continue for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Walle Lutheran Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Walle Lutheran Church.
