Jeanette Stoffel, 92, of East Grand Forks, Minnesota died Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 at home.
Jeanette, daughter of Alex and Rose (Drimel) Carlson, was born in St. Paul, MN November 16, 1928. She married Ralph Stoffel (Pine City, MN) in 1950. They first moved to Chicago and then to Grand Forks in 1958, and Thief River Falls in 1971, where she called home until 2005 when she moved in with her daughter in East Grand Forks. Jeanette worked in retail her entire adult life until her retirement from Annette’s Fabric Store.
Jeanette was known as a talented seamstress, incredible cook and baker, for her green thumb and passion for politics. But more importantly, she leaves behind a legacy of family, love, humor, kindness, and endless hugs. She had an infectious smile and personality that left an imprint on everyone who met her. Jeanette was adored by all and thought of as the coolest grandma ever. “You were supposed to live forever so that we never had to live without you.”
Jeanette is survived by her children, Susan (Mark) Krenelka, Robert (Nancy) Stoffel, and Laura (Rob) Raymond; grandchildren Nathan (Trista), Adam (Judy), Paul (Stephanie), Jill (Matt), Tony (Emily), Bekki, Lisa (Ross), Ben (Shannon), Emmy (Eric), Chelsey (Caleb), Alex (Emily); and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, siblings, son John, and 2 great grandchildren.
