Janice E. Buck

Janice Buck, 94 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Monday, March 11, 2024, at Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Janice was born on April 24, 1929, the daughter of Peter and Gladys (Laidley) Buck in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was raised on the family farm in rural Manvel, North Dakota. After graduating high school, Janice attended Union Commercial Business College in Grand Forks. After her father passed away in 1961, Janice and her mother Gladys, moved to Grand Forks. She began her career as an accountant for Norby’s Department Store and continued there until it closed. After her retirement, Janice took care of her mother until her passing at the age of 104.

Janice was active with professional and businesswomen’s groups throughout her career and enjoyed her time with other professional women in the area. She always liked to be outside in the spring planting her flowers and doing her spring cleaning.

Janice is survived by her niece, Barbara Bakke of Larimore, ND; nephew, Boyd Bjerke of Evansville, WY.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Robert Bjerke and nephew, Marvin Bjerke.

 Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at Amundson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, at Amundson Funeral Home.
