JACQUELYNN “JACKIE” PILAK

Jacquelynn K Pliak, age 71 of Grand Forks, died on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Altru hospital. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Memorial Park South.

Jacquelynn Kaye Pilak, a daughter of Edward and Emma (Kutz) Kohl, was born in Grand Forks on November 18, 1947. She was baptized on December 7, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Jackie attended school in Grand Forks. After her education she met Gary L. Pilak. On September 28, 1968 they were married. She moved with him during his time in the service. They returned to Grand Forks and Jackie began working at the Good Samaritan in East Grand Forks. she went on to get her GED. Jackie attended the East Grand Forks AVTI earning her CNA license. She worked for Altru Home Health, Edgewood Vista and later Maple View Memory Care. Gary passed away on July 30, 2010. Jackie retired shortly after. She has continued to make Grand Forks her home.

She would like to travel to Colorado to see her friends. Jackie also like to spend time with family.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Pilak of Grand Forks and Troy (Heather) Klein of Mandan; grandchildren, Matthew Pilak and Macie Peltz of Glendale, AZ and Jerome (Katie) Klein of Fargo; great Grandchildren; Mica and Cheyanne Klein, Myla and Alora Klein.
