Jackie Jo (Infeld) Kvamme

April  21, 1953 – May 2, 2020

On May 2, 2020 Jackie Kvamme passed away at her home in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the age of 67.

Jackie was born in Northwood, North Dakota to Paul Infeld and Lila (Lenz) Infeld. She was the third of six children. She spent the first part of her childhood living in a small home in Larimore, ND. The family moved to Grand Forks, ND in 1963. Jackie attended Viking Elementary School, South Middle School, and Red River High School (Class of 1971).

On August 21, 1981, Jackie married Arlen “Sonny” Kvamme. They moved to Katie, Texas for a short time where they had a daughter, Jolene. It was a couple of years later, in 1986, after moving back to Grand Forks, they had Coleen. The couple parted ways in 1991.

Jackie held several jobs during her life. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. King Chiropractic, a sales rep at JCPenny’s, McDonalds, in environmental services at Parkwood Place, and spent a majority of her time as a customer service rep at Amazon.

For those who got the opportunity to meet and spend time with Jackie, they understood what a special human being she was. Ask anyone and they will tell you she was their cheerleader in life. It did not matter what obstacle she was faced with, whether financial, medical, etc. she pushed through it with a determination like no other. She may have had nothing but she would be the first to give whatever she did have to you if you were in need. She never complained and if you asked how she was doing she would turn it around and make sure you were okay. To her family, she was their rock, their strength, and their everything. She is a woman that will most definitely be missed.

Jackie is survived by her 2 daughters, Jolene Kvamme and Coleen (JJ) Nesdahl, her grand animals Angie, Diesel, Pawthorne, and Tommy Girl, her sister Lori (Jeff) Parent, and brother, Greg (Cathy) Infeld. She was preceded in death by her mother Lila Infeld (Lenz), father Paul Infeld Jr., 3 sisters Paulette (Jake) Dvorak, Beverly (Richard) Aure, and Debra (Dennis) Morseth.
