Jacqueline Sharp Jacobs, 72, of Emerado, ND, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1952, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Rufus D. Sharp, Sr., and Chestina Barge Sharp. She was the youngest of five children.

Jackie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Cobb Bethel A.M.E. Church in Atlanta, GA. She attended Thomas Oliver Elementary School and Briarwood High School in East Point, GA class of 1970.

Jackie found joy in collecting dolls, toy cars, trains, cooking, sewing, and reading, pastimes reflecting her creativity and love for learning. She was also known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering faith, which guided her through life’s challenges.

Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael Jacobs; her sister, Sandra Sharp Powell; her brother, Rufus D. Sharp, Jr.; and her nephew, Ronald Powell.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Wardell (Catherine) Sharp (Atlanta, GA); her sister, Yvonne Sharp Banks (Atlanta, GA).

She is also survived by four nephews; Gregory Powell, Kevin (Denise) Powell, Darnell Sharp and Landon Sharp; five nieces: V. Michelle (Cory) Cobb, Kristel (Tommy) Limary, Bridgette Sharp, Alesia Goolsby and Wanda Sharp; as well as a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Though Jackie is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of those she touched. Her love, laughter, and wisdom will be cherished always.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Circle of friends Animal Shelter in honor of Dakota-Sue in her honor.
