Jack Steven Peterson
May 8, 2019 – December 5, 2021
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we share that on Sunday, December 5th, 2021 Jack died while in his parent’s loving arms. Jack suffered from brain cancer. Jack was a ray of light to parents Eric and Ivy Peterson. His huge smile brightened up any room he was in. He enjoyed coloring, singing the ABCs, and playing outside. His favorite activity was playing baseball while using his beloved play bowling pin as a bat. Jack loved to watch sports with his dad and cheering: “Go Vikings, Go football!”. From the beginning, Jack loved to eat! His favorite foods were spaghetti, peaches, and crackers. He adored spending time and playing with his cousins. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew him. We would like to extend a special thank you to all those who helped Jack and his family, especially Sanford Children’s, Ronald McDonald House, Henrik’s Heroes, and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Jack is survived by parents Eric and Ivy Peterson, and soon to arrive sibling, Grand Forks, ND; grandparents Vern and Mari Peterson, Detroit Lakes, MN; grandmother Collette Carlson, Hermosa, SD; great-grandparents Richard and Keitha O’Toole, Crystal, ND; great-grandmother Eunice Peterson, Glenwood, MN; uncles, Andrew (Emilee) Peterson, Grand Forks, ND; John Peterson, Cedar Falls, IA; aunt Steph (Ben) Roland, Minot, ND; and his best friends, his cousins, Brooke and Elle Peterson, and Ike and Rocky Roland.
