Helen June Loeffler, age 87, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. She was born on June 27, 1933 in Gilby, ND to Arthur and Helen Lindberg. Married to Lester Loeffler for 39 years, they lived in Mayville and Grand Forks, ND with their six children. June is survived by her children: Linda Cowan, Gardner, KS; Gary (Betty) Loeffler, Cottage Grove, WI; David (Suzanne) Loeffler, Lincoln University, PA; Sandy (Gene) Loeffler, Grand Forks; Renae (Gary) Jopp, Grand Forks; Donald (Laurie) Loeffler, Cameron, WI. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter, and her sister Francis Amundson. June was preceded in death by her husband Lester in 1990, her parents, her brother Bobby and her sister Doris Muir, granddaughter Christina Loeffler and sons-in-law Roger Jopp and Rick Cowan. June was known as ‘June Bug’ to all who loved her. She had a great sense of humor, always so happy and so much fun to be with. She knew no stranger. She was always so interesting to talk to and had so many stories to share. June loved to play Bingo and cards with her friends. She was brave to the end. Our hearts will always be full of love and memories of this wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend… Due to circumstances at this time, a celebration of June’s life will be at a later date. She will be laid to rest at the Wabanica Lutheran Church, Baudette, MN.
