Gayle Peltier

Gayle L. (Collette) Peltier, age 63, passed away on Monday, August 26th, 2024, at her home in Grand Forks, ND. Gayle was born January 12, 1961, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Fiedler) Collette. She grew up in Minot, ND, Grand Forks, ND and graduated High School in Grafton, ND. She then attended school in Grand Forks at the University of North Dakota for nursing before finally moving back to Grafton, ND to raise her 3 children. As she returned to Grafton, she continued her work as a state employee and Union member at the Life Skills Transition Center until 2016 when she moved to Grand Forks, ND. She enjoyed spending time with her beautiful Sheltie pups Scooby, Leo, Sansa and Arya. Her favorite pastime was gaming with her family, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a great conversationalist and interior designer.

Gayle is survived by: her children Gina (Daniel) Eele, Grand Forks, ND, E. Joey (Tyler) Oppegaard-Peltier III, Bemidji, MN, Daughter-in-law Dr. Katie (Carl) Morlock, MI, her grandchild Kannon Veris, Seattle, WA, her brothers Michael (Sara Savage) Collette, Robbinsdale, MN, his daughter Maiah Benter-Collette, Robert (Terry) Collette, CA, his daughter Emily Collette, and her sisters Lisa Le, Moorhead, MN, her children Jason Sangrait and Rose Sangrait, and Kristi (Benny) Martinez, Ham Lake, MN, her children Lissa Martinez Huebner and Jonah Martinez, and her sister Mary Lietz children Edward (Tawnya Taylor) Lietz and Andrew Lietz, and many grand nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Joshua David Collette, her grandchild Tay Apollo Nelson, her sister Mary Beth Lietz and her parents.

 A family led service will be September 7th, 2024 at 5pm in Anoka, MN. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you do something kind for yourself, your family and your neighbor and to make sure you drink your water.
