Gary Kenmir, 71, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Altru Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Gary Kenmir, the son of Marjorie and Elden Kenmir, was born February 18, 1948 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Gary graduated from Larimore High School in 1965. He married Darlene Jeuch on December 7, 1973.
Gary was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston, Minnesota. He worked as J.R. Simplot in Grand Forks for 35 years as a Chief A Boiler Operator. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially at Maple Lake. He also loved watching his granddaughter Breanna figure skate.
Gary is survived by his wife Darlene; daughter, Tracy (Dan) Kressin, Crookston, MN; granddaughter, Breanna Kressin, Crookston, MN; sister, Diane Kenmir, Grand Forks; brother-in-law, Henry Jeuch; brother-in-law, Bill (Susan) Jeuch; several nieces and nephews; an aunt, Joyce Piche’ and a cousin, Bonnie Gustafson; and his special cat, “Joey”.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Elden and Marjoire Kenmir; and his mother-in-law, and father-in-law, John and Frances Jeuch.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday, August 25, 2019 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Crookston, Minnesota. Inurnment will be at the Prairie View Cemetery, Euclid, Minnesota.
