Elizabeth Lein (79) died Friday August 30th in the comfort and care of Valley Senior Living hospice, and in the presence and comfort of loved ones.

 Liz was born on July 14th 1945, the daughter of Roman and Rose Lein of Grafton ND. She was the sister of Raymond (Janice) Lein of Grand Forks and Margaret Lynch of Minnesota.

  Liz lived in Grand Forks for most of her adult life and was served by REM/Sevita Health. Liz lived with her roommate, Ella for 26 years and had many staff that also supported her for that time and grew to love her as a family member. She was an active Catholic church participant and loved attending and singing along with the music and seeing her friends and former staff.

 Liz was one of the first people to attend LISTEN day program when they first opened. When LISTEN moved to its new location, Liz was honored with cutting the grand opening ribbon. Liz loved attending day program to see her friends and staff, play bingo, sing karaoke, music therapy, and arts and crafts. 

 Liz was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Roman; and her brother, Raymond

 She is survived by her sister, Margaret; and by her friends and staff at the 301 REM group home.

 Liz will be dearly missed by all who knew her and supported her. She was a wonderful soul and touched the hearts of all around her.

 Services for Liz will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2024 at Amundson Funeral Home of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service at the funeral home. Following the service, her body will be commenced to the ground at St Patrick’s Cemetery in Minto ND.
