Elizabeth “Betty” Wylot, 87, Grand Forks, ND, died Sunday, July 19, 2020 in her home.

Elizabeth Ann Wylot was born November 19, 1932 near Warsaw, ND, the daughter of Joseph and Amelia (Knaus) Babinski. She graduated from high school at Grafton, ND.

Betty married John Wylot on June 17, 1952. They lived in Grand Forks where Betty worked for Del’s Coffee Shop, the Bronze Boot and The Westward Ho where she worked for 30 years until her retirement.

Betty enjoyed Polka music and dancing, travel, and casinos. She was a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks and was very devoted to her church and faith. Betty was also a caregiver to many children and was a Foster Grandmother for United Day Nursery.

Survivors include her children, Paul Wylot, Grand Forks, Yvonne (Stephen) Miedaner, Hastings, MN, and Gary Wylot, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Jeremy Colsen, Becky Pulkrabek, Travis Colsen, Joel Wylot and Daniel Wylot; Betty also had six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1988; brothers, Ray Babinski and Lauren Babinski; and a sister Maxine Grzeskowiak.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church of Grand Forks. Visitation will be for the hour before the service in the church. Burial will be in Calvary North Cemetery of Grand Forks.
