Elaine (Workman) Anderson
She died.
That is what mom said her obituary should say. She didn’t want you to know that she was our rock. She didn’t want us to say she was a wonderful wife to Jim for 61 years, a fabulous mother to Debi (Bob) Thompson and Jim (Jackie) Anderson, an amazing Grandmother to Brad (Laura), Ryan (Micaela) Thompson and Bailey and Cassidy Anderson, a proud Great-Grandmother to Ava, Sam, Hattie & Emily, and a sister to Boyd (Elaine) Workman, sister-in-law to Barb Workman. She didn’t want us to include she never had a bad word to say about anyone, and shouldered her burdens silently. That she made the best homemade buns, cinnamon rolls, banana dessert, lefse, cherry cheese cake, and beautiful quilts.
Mom had to leave us on May 20th and is now at peace with her parents Floyd and Reva Workman, brother Garth “Kay” Workman and sister-in-law Sharon Workman.
Visitation will be 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, at Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, ND. A private burial is planned for a later date at the St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery in Nome, ND.
Mom didn’t want us to make a fuss so…..…she died.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or Cure Alzheimer’s Fund.
