Earl L. LaBrecque

Earl L. LaBrecque, 97, died on May 11, 2022 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Earl was born on June 6th, 1924 to Robert and Gertrude (Secord) LaBrecque in Windham, Maine. He resided and received his education in Maine. Following high school, Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for 6 years during WWII, attaining the rank of FC2. On August 3, 1946, Earl married Shirley Bliven in Arlington, Virginia. The couple moved to Grand Forks in 1948 where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 31 years. Earl is survived by his 5 children, Sharon (Gerry) Van De Kreeke, Kenneth (Karolyne) LaBrecque, Janice (Mike) Anderson, Sue (Sande) Hodge and Richard (Michelle) LaBrecque, 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and 1 granddaughter. There will not be a public service held. Earl will be inurned next to Shirley at Calvary North Cemetery in Grand Forks.
