Dylan Michael Young, 28, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2024, in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Dylan was born on April 6, 1995, in Grand Junction, Colorado to John Young and Janet (Rintoul) Young. He was a wild and exuberant child with a mischievous smile and laugh that could win hearts over in seconds. He was the little brother to Caitlin (Young) Pierce, and they had a wonderful childhood together filled with family vacations, basketball, and excellent barbeque. Dylan attended school in Grand Junction and graduated from Grand Junction High School with the Class of 2013.
In 2017 Dylan began a relationship with Jamie Erb which quickly blossomed into a once-in-a-lifetime love. They had their first son, Kirby, in November 2018. Cannon completed their family in October 2022. Dylan’s ability to be a father was instant and beautiful, he loved his children more than anything in the world. They filled his heart with joy, and it was obvious to anyone who saw them together.
Dylan’s passions included being the best daddy in the world, completing extensive Lego kits, eating candy and sweets, being outdoors, playing video games, and fixing everything around the house. He was known for his humor, contagious laughter, and beautiful smile. He will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Mary Rintoul; maternal grandparents, David and Millie Rintou and paternal grandparents, Patricia and John Young.
Dylan is survived by his children: Kirby and Cannon; partner, Jamie Erb; parents: Janet and John Young; sister, Caitlin (Jared) Pierce; nephew, Everett Pierce, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be at Eagles Crest Bar and Grill on Saturday, February 10th from 2 PM – 5 PM. Memorials to follow in Kansas and Colorado.
