Douglas Dale Norgard, 60, passed away November 20, 2018, at his home in Grand Forks.
Douglas was born in Minot, ND on April 2, 1958 to Dale and Phyllis Norgard. The family moved to Grand Forks, ND, where he graduated from Red River High School in 1976. He went on to attend NDSCS receiving an Associate degree in Architectural Drafting. He was currently employed at the University of North Dakota in Facilities Management as a Warehouse Lead.
On June 21, 1980 he married Susan Glynn in St. Helena’s Catholic Church in Ellendale, ND. In 1982, they moved to Gillette, WY, where he worked in the oil industry as a salesman. They returned to Grand Forks in 1992, where they raised their three children, Jared, Jenna and Michael and have lived there since.
There were many things that Douglas was passionate about in life, his family being the most. He loved being active in his children’s lives, through coaching and being their biggest fan. He also loved spending time on the golf course, broken clubs and all! He absolutely adored and loved to cuddle his grandpuppy, Phoebe. He had a heart of gold and was there for anyone whenever they needed him. His warm hugs were so special and comforting beyond words. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.
