Douglas Raymond Eisenzimmer, 77, died December 9, 2021, in his home.

Doug was born January 30, 1944, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, the son of Kasper “Kap” and Evelyn (Powers) Eisenzimmer.

Doug worked with his father at Eisenzimmer Construction and served the greater Grand Forks area. He later worked for Royal Seal Construction out of Dallas, TX. He married Joyce (Chase) (Kavadas) Carl in 2001.

Doug loved to play cards. He also loved to fish and spend time at the lake home with his family and friends.

Doug is survived by his wife Joyce; mother Evelyn Eisenzimmer; children: Melissa (Tony) Huffman, Margo (Terry) Eickenbrock, Susan (Jay) Evenstad, Mike (Melanie) Kavadas, Rick (Jane) Eisenzimmer, Jay (Mae) Eisenzimmer; sisters Elaine (Larry) Hadland, Gayle Bowen; his grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and stepson Jeff Kavadas.

Memorial service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Amundson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service.
