Dennis Carroll, 80, passed away on November 27,2021 at Altru Hospital.  He was born, May 29, 1941, to Lawrence (Ole) and Marion (Krejci) Carroll on the family farm near Inkster, ND. He was educated in Johnstown, ND and the Crookston Ag School.

On July 2, 1960, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Yon. They were married for 61 wonderful years. With that marriage came two boys: Michael of Forest River and Bradley of Grand Forks.

 The early years saw the family moved around the country for Dennis’s career in the fiber glass business. Then in 1970 they moved back to Forest River where he followed his passion for planting and harvesting crops. He enjoyed this hobby through his last beet harvest of 2021.

He was an avid member of the St. Johns Masonic Lodge in Forest River until it closed.

Dennis is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons: Michael and Bradley, six grandchildren: Sam (Brittany), Parker, Tanner, Jana (Shannon), Janelle, Jacob and great granddaughter, Adelyn.

 He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Vince, Tiny, and Larry and sisters, Doretta and Della.

Memorial services will be held at the Forest River Community Church Thursday, December 2, at 11:00 am with lunch to follow at the Forest River Community Center.
