David Lee Boushee, 75, of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
David was born on July 26, 1949, the son of Bennet and Laurene (Swenson) Boushee in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. David farmed with his father and family in his younger years. He worked for Northern Burlington Railroad for a few years and also worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad in Minneapolis. David did some factory work in Minneapolis before starting his own business, David Boushee and Sons Trucking, which allowed him to drive semi for many years.
David was united in marriage to Linda Norman on October 14, 1972. Through this union, they had four sons.
David operated this trucking business for many years until he retired in 2005. He enjoyed carpentry, raising cows, multitasking, fixing what others may call junk and finding a diamond in the rough and making it work like it was new again. He was a good cook and was multi-talented. David was always very “hands on” no matter what he was doing.
David is survived by his sons, Corey (Jennifer), Josh (DeeAnn), Abe (Jennifer) and Gabriel (Krissy); grandchildren, Noah and Shay, Trevor, Samuel, Bennet, Beau; Skyler, Sesalie, AJ, Annabelle, Bryer and Bexley; great-grandson, Sabastian; brothers, Rene, Greg, Tony, Leon (Natalie) and Eddy (Steph); sisters, Mary (Tim) Holt, Elaine (Steve) Vonasek, Christine Boushee, Loretta DeVoe, Julie (Chad) Lindgren, Bonnie Hageman, Teresa (Ed) Doten, and Gloria (Doug) Mogck; numerous nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Zacheriah and brother, Robby.
