Daryle W.F. Reese, 81, formerly of Grand Forks, ND, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, on April 8, 2019 under the care of hospice.
Daryle was born on August 15, 1937, in Crookston, MN, the son of Homer & Laura (Peterson) Reese. He grew up in Crookston, MN, and graduated from Crookston’s Central High School in 1955. Over the span of his working years he worked as a Grand Forks Police Officer, sold Farm Journal to farm businesses in the area, and worked as a Fronteer Directory/ Yellow book ad salesman.
He married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Billadeau on April 22, 1957 in Crookston, MN. They were married 41 years.
Daryle moved to California in 2003 to escape the cold winters and to be close to his sons. In 2011 he moved to Las Vegas to enjoy his passion of gambling and the Las Vegas lifestyle.
Daryle’s passions in life were to hunt with his sons’ and their friends. He loved to gamble, play cards and shoot pool. He was very outgoing and loved striking up conversations with people. He was an active member of the Minnesota National Guard for 8 years.
He is survived by his sons, Randy (Suzi) Reese of Antigo, WI, Monty (Laura) Reese of Thousand Oaks, CA; daughter, Pam (Ken) Gaulke of Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren, Miranda Roen, Jennica (Curtis) Ness, Jace (Miranda) Gaulke, Harley Reese and Liam Reese; great-grandchildren, Eli, Jaelynn, Jacelynn, Cayden, Caspian and Wyatt; brothers, Homer (Noella) Reese, Hugh Reese and a sister, Lynn Bennice, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Reese Pruden and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daryle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry Reese; son, D. Shawn Reese; brother, Obie Reese Sr. and a sister, Mavis Willert.

Celebration of Life Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. Grand Forks, ND, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Amundsons.
Inurnment: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
