Darlene Larson of St. Thomas, North Dakota passed away on March 1st, 2025, at the age of 93 years. To the degree that a life can be measured by the love one gives and receives, hers was remarkably full.

Born in Grafton in 1931 to Dave and Anna Anderson. She lived her early years in Drayton, North Dakota. Darlene spent a majority of her life up the road in St. Thomas after marrying the love of her life, Jim Larson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim, and her five siblings. She also lost two beloved Grandchildren during her life, Kristopher and Tricia, who she’s surely now hugging in heaven. She is survived by her four children, Paul (Deanna), Gary (special friend Kathy), Pam (Doug) and David (Angie), twelve grand kids, eighteen great grand kids, nieces, nephews and all her friends.

Darlene was known for her unconditional love and her ability to fill hearts as well as stomachs. Her famous homemade buns are spoken of far and wide and have been requested and shipped across numerous state lines.

She was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran church in St. Thomas and Wheatland Terrace in Grand Forks where she attended Bible study and Worship with Pastor Bud, who made her last 9 years so meaningful.

Darlene was active in her hometown and involved in quilting, bible study, Ladies Aid, Scouts, and Choir. She so enjoyed her coffee time at the local cafe with her good friends in "Booth #4,” where they had become such a staple that they eventually even sent and received mail.

Friends and family were her life.

She was quite a lady. She will be so missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 at 2:00PM at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will take place one hour before the service. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in St. Thomas on May 2, 2025 at 1:30 PM.
