Daniel Walter Majkrzak passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 13, 2021.
Dan was born July 27, 1950 to Walter and Avis Majkrzak. In February of 1973 Dan married Diane Olson of Thompson, ND. They made their home on a farm just outside of Thompson where they raised their three children. He was an amazing husband and father while especially enjoying his role as Papa to his eight grandchildren. After the passing of his beloved wife Diane, he found comfort, love and laughter with Nancy Newcomb. She, her children and grandchildren held a huge place in his heart and their love for him was a true blessing to the whole family.
Dan loved his family and friends deeply and he was a true caretaker of his land and farm. Some of his happiest memories were of working in the fields with his son, dear friends and family that were always ready to help at a moment's notice. Dan never took those times for granted, and loved and cared for them tremendously. True to heart, Dan was the patriarch of his family, providing a safe and stable foundation for all those he loved.
His quiet resolve, strength, and dignity will be remembered, cherished and passed on for generations to come. Dan felt true happiness watching the crops ripen in the field, watching his children (and grandchildren) grow tall in the sun, and watching his whole family share in the bountiful harvest that comes from the shared farming experience.
Dan is survived by his children Brent (Stacey) Majkrzak and their children Adriauna, Vivien and Henry; Sheri (Kelly) Gefroh and their children Olivia and Jackson; and Kim (Corey) Gullion and their children Mason, Ella and Grace; his father Walter, his siblings Connie (Marv) Westrom, Dave (Debbie) Majkrzak, Robert (Jill) Majkrzak, Larry (Tammy) Majkrzak, Jeff (Lisa) Majkrzak, and Lisa (Troy) Lazur; and many more beautiful family members and friends that touched his heart deeply. Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Diane and his mother, Avis.
