Dale A. Davidson, 75 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Monday, October 21, 2024, at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, surrounded by his loving family. 

Dale was born on March 14, 1949, the son of Gisli E. and Grudrun Violet (Anderson) Davidson in Milton, North Dakota. He was raised in Milton and graduated from high school in 1968. On February 14, 1970, Dale married the love of his life, Gayle Haroldson. They made their home in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

In 1973, Dale embarked on a 43-year long career in sales. He worked at Factory Outlet (Goodman’s Home Furnishings) from 1973 – 2005 and Rydell’s from 2008 – 2016. 

Dale enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren, supporting their endeavors in sports, activities and academics. He also enjoyed playing cards with his brothers and friends and watching UND Sports. Dale was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends and strangers. 

Dale is survived by his son, Jared (Kamie) Davidson; grandchildren, Morgan (fiancé, Austin Humble) Davidson and Tanner Davidson all of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, Eileen (Kenneth) Block of Mankato, MN, Diane Fossum of Grand Forks, ND and Velma May of Roy, UT; brother, David (Melody) Davidson of Grand Forks, ND; brother-in-law, Allen Grundahl of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Gayle Davidson, brothers, Kenneth, Gerald, Vernon, Wayne and Dennis, sisters, Janice and Faye, brother-in-law, Nels Fossum, nephews, Nathan Grundahl and Matt Fossum.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at Amundson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Sharon Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, North Dakota.
