Dale Richard Andrews, Grand Forks, ND was born August 16, 1944 in Grand Forks, ND to Arthur and Hallie (Schaley) Andrews. He died at home November 19, 2020.
Dale attended and graduated from Larimore High School and then graduated from Aaker’s Business College. Following graduation he worked at First National Bank installing their first computer system. He was then drafted into the US Army and received a hardship discharge in 1966 after the passing of his father.
He married his best friend Nancy Infeld June 21, 1969. They have since made their home in Grand Forks.
Dale worked for Northwestern Bell for 35 years staying on as the company changed ownership many times. He was honored in 1998 by the 105th Congress for his dedicated service throughout the Flood of 1997. Dale retired in June of 2004.
Dale loved antique cars and always talked about buying one. His pride was in having an immaculate yard and cars. He enjoyed all UND sports, was a terror when it came to playing Parcheesi and insisted on winning. Anything he did was done with perfection.
His entire life was devoted to his wife, daughters, sons in law and granddaughters.
He was always there to lend a helping hand.
Dale is survived by his wife Nancy, daughters Tracey Johnson (Jay) and Kristi Strang (Alan), granddaughters Emily Johnson, Kelsey Strang and Katy Strang, sister-in-law Gloria Guillot, cousin Randy Schaley and several nieces and nephews, his favorite coffee buddy Kent Gunderson and dear friends Harold & Roni Wilde and Rick & Judy Blake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rodger, sister Darlyne Gabriel, his mother in law and father in law Percy and Florence Infeld, brothers-in-law Kenny Infeld, Gerald Gabriel and Randy Guillot, cousin Sherry Stover and nephew Paul Andrews.
Dale was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, “Pa” and “Papa”. He will forever live in our hearts. God bless the memory of Dale Andrews.
Private Family Services will be held in Amundson Funeral Home, Grand Forks with interment at Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, ND. The family prefers memorials to: Calvary Lutheran Church, Bellevue Cemetery Association, or Hospice of the Red River Valley.
