Curtis Ray Nagel, 62, Grand Forks, lost his fight with cancer and died peacefully at home on May 23, 2023.
Curtis Ray Nagel was born July 3, 1960, in Devils Lake, North Dakota. His parents were Benard Nagel and Alma Pulst. He has 6 siblings: Bernie, Shirleen, Penny, Lee, Connie, and Lisa. Curtis spent his childhood and teen years in Devils Lake graduating from Central High School.
In 1988, Curtis married Michelle Myklebust. They moved to Grand Forks, where he began his 32-year career with BNSF. They had 3 children: Just Lee Nagel, Taylor John Nagel, and Kaylin Nicole Nagel. He also had Tiny (his wiener dog). Curtis retired from the railroad in 2020. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at the lake.
Curtis had 6 grandchildren: Elijah, Rowan, Aiden, Noxin, Noah, and Jade. He loved them all and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his father Ben, mother Alma, brother Lee, and sister Connie.
Per Curtis’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
