Connor Ian Reilly Bahr, 35, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, surrounded by his wife, son, and family.
Connor was born February 10, 1988 in Bemidji, MN to Laddie Dean Bahr Jr. and Maria Cardoni. He graduated from Crookston High School in 2006, and played varsity hockey for the Pirates. He loved hockey, particularly the Chicago Blackhawks, and fishing. He was a talented guitar player and played in two bands, Our Only Solace and Shaking the Sleeping Beauty. He enjoyed playing darts with friends. He was always sharing things he found funny and clever, hoping to make others smile. He had a great interest in history that he was able to share with his son. At the top of his unfulfilled bucket list was visiting Ireland.
He met the love of his life, Jordan, while working at Canad Inn in Grand Forks in 2010, although it took a little time for them to realize it. Connor and Jordan were blessed with a son, Carter Dean, on June 26, 2015 and they were married on September 30, 2016 in Fargo. They have resided in Grand Forks since 2018. He lost his best friend and mentor, grandfather Laddie Bahr, in 2017.
Connor will be deeply missed by his wife Jordan (Anderson) Bahr and son Carter, his parents Dean and Stacy Bahr of Rio Hondo, TX, and Maria Cardoni-Pahlen and Mark Pahlen of Roseau, MN, siblings Allison Bahr, Caitlin Bahr, Jake Pahlen, and Emily Pahlen (Mason Buckta), his grandparents John and Diana Stich, his niece Graylynn and nephew Cohen, and his sisters-in-law Taylor Anderson and Alexandra Anderson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Laddie Dean Bahr Sr., Marjorie (Veselka) Bahr, and William (Bill) Harold Cardoni.
Connor will be remembered and celebrated at a private service on Monday, September 4, 2023 at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Jordan and Carter thank all of you for your kind words and support. They would like to especially mention the wonderful care and comfort Connor received from the nurses and staff at the Critical Care Unit at Altru.
