Colleen Jones

Colleen Margaret Jones passed away on January 20, 2025, in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Colleen was born in California, where she spent much of her early life before meeting Alan Vormestrand. Together, they built a life in North Dakota, where Colleen devoted herself to being a loving mom to Ashley and Dwayne Vormestrand.

Colleen had a passion for cooking and spent most of her life working as a cook in various restaurants. She owned her own café for a time, where many gathered to enjoy great food, among that her famous potato salad. Those who knew Colleen will remember her infectious laughter, free spirit, and the joy she brought to every room she entered.

Colleen is survived by her children: Gary Long and Sheryl Tuberville of Arkansas, Cody Bales of California, and Ashley Strong and Dwayne Vormestrand of North Dakota. She also leaves behind multiple grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

 A private family service will be held at a later date.

Colleen's memory will forever live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
