Claudea J. Olson, 87, Grand Forks, North Dakota, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Benedictine Living Community, Crookston, Minnesota.
Claudea June Olson, the daughter of James Arthur Olson and Vida Luella (Johnson) Olson, was born on November 4, 1936, at Crookston, Minnesota. She attended school in Crookston through 1954 and graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1958 with a degree in Speech Pathology.
Claudea was married to Jack D. Leach, and they had one son, Micheal W. Leach.
Claudea was a speech language pathologist in schools and in hospitals in Arizona and California. Her hobbies included gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her sisters, Jaclyn Olson and Judy (Olson) Gierke; a niece, Michelle Ristad; nephews, Todd Gierke, Scott Gierke, and Craig Gierke; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Parker-Olson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dr. James R. Olson, and her son, Michael W. Leach.
Graveside services will be held at a future date in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
