A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 13th at 10:00 a.m. at Amundson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9 - 10 am. Immediately following the service, there will be an urn burial at Storlie Cemetery in Hampden, ND. Following the time at the cemetery, lunch will be served at the Senior Center in Hampden at 2pm. Burnette was born on September 13, 1932, to Anton and Anna (Youngman) Lommen in Hampden, North Dakota. Soon after her birth, she was baptized at Zoar Lutheran Church in Hampden. Burnette was raised and received her education in Hampden, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class in 1950. On July 10, 1951, Burnette was united in marriage to Frederick Lindseth, in Hampden. Following their marriage, Burnette and Frederick farmed and began their family. Burnette’s time was spent raising her 7 children and helping on the farm. She was an excellent cook and always had fresh baked goods for her family. Burnette was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing bingo, cards with neighbors and friends and an occasional trip to the casino. Burnette is survived by her children: Frederick “Bobby” Lindseth of Grand Forks, ND, Susan Klava (Jim, deceased) of Grand Forks, Sharyl (Gene) Lill, of Grand Forks, ND, Shirley (Dave) Lill of Grand Forks, ND, Sandra Wade of Bemidji, MN, Sharlene (Kevin) Rakoczy of Reynolds, ND, and David (Kelly) of Grand Forks, ND; sisters, O'Della Hamre of Devils Lake, ND; a sister-in-law, Carol Lommen of Devils Lake, ND; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, a great grandson, Oliver “Ollie” Olson; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
