Brian passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2022. He was born in Drayton, ND, on May 7, 1959. He was the youngest of 5 children born to Andrew Passa and Ann (Blawat) Passa.
For most of his work history, he worked as a forklift operator at Simplot in Grand Forks, ND, and at Baxter Healthcare in Tempe, AZ. He enjoyed playing bingo, pinochle, and watching sports, especially his beloved Viking’s. He also liked to get together with his nephew, Charles, to watch wrestling on many Monday & Friday nights. His happy place was spending time with family & friends at the “Ponderosa”, a little slice of heaven, located a few miles outside of Gilby, ND. He would help mow the grass there using the 1941 Farmall tractor. (Queue “Green Acres” TV show theme song)
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, along with his oldest brother, LeRoy (Debbie) Passa. Brian is survived by his sisters, Joyce (Ernie) Rud of Grand Forks, ND, and Gayle (Dennis) Siewert of Phoenix, AZ, and brother, Charlie (Kathy) Passa of Casa Grande, AZ; his nieces, Gina Adams of Hellertown, PA, and Sami Passa of Fargo, ND, his nephews Tom Gerstenberg of Hatton, ND, Joe Rud of Thompson, ND, Aaron Siewert of Tempe, AZ, Jason Siewert of Chandler, AZ, Brian A. Passa of Grand Forks, ND, Charles Passa of Casa Grande, AZ, and Robert Passa of Coon Rapids, MN.
Brian will be honored with a funeral Mass on July 14, 2022, at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks.
