Charles Robert “Bob” Wehe was born to George and Marie (Jeffrey) Wehe on September 3,1939 on their farm in Huntsville Township, rural East Grand Forks, Minnesota. He passed away on July 15, 2021 in Grand Forks, North Dakota after a short battle with leukemia. Bob attended country school until his family moved to town when he was 13. He graduated in 1957 from Sacred Heart High School, East Grand Forks. He was united in marriage on May 6, 1960 to Connie (Jensen) Wehe in Grand Forks, North Dakota. They were blessed with two children: Robbi Rae and Bradley Charles. For over 30 years, Bob was the owner/operator of Valley Vending, servicing many motels, businesses, and industries in the Grand Forks area.
Bob had many adventures throughout his life. In the 1960s, he raced super modified stock cars at the Grand Forks Speedway on Friday nights. In the 1970s and 80s he became involved in Trapshooting and won numerous awards in Minnesota, North Dakota and Canada. Bob’s great love beyond his family was hunting and fishing. He was fortunate to go on many fishing and hunting trips with good friends and family. Since 1962, he has fished Lake of the Woods every summer. He has passed his love of fishing onto his family and was happiest with a grandchild and a fishing rod in his hand while driving the boat.
He is survived by his wife Connie; son Brad (Marcia) Wehe; grandchildren Kelsey (Joe Demester), Karlee, and Matt Wehe; sister-in-law Raenel (Joe) Barger; brother-in-law Rick (Carol) Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and his second family at the Ground Round and Buffalo Bay, Manitoba.
