Ava Rose Anderson

On August 24, we learned of Ava’s passing before her birth. On August 26, Ava Rose Anderson was delivered at Altru Hospital. She is perfect! We knew right away she was with the Lord and other loved ones, especially her Grandpa Damon Anderson in heaven. 

Ava Rose’s 20 week life has filled us with such joy. The blessings we have received from her life have been bountiful. Her sisters were so excited for her to arrive. They now talk about their Baby Angel who will always be watching over them. 

Ava is survived by parents Joshua and Sarah (Winger) Anderson; Loving big sisters Madilyn, Nora, Lily and Zoey Anderson; Grandparents Julie (Severson) Anderson and Steve and Annella (Swartz) Winger; Aunts and Uncles Philip (Michelle) Anderson and Amy (Brent) Lahr; Cousins Blake and McKinley Anderson and EllaAnn, Grant, Caraline, Luke, Victoria and Drew Lahr; Great Grandpa Don Swartz and many more loving extended family and family friends.

Ava was welcomed into eternal life by our Lord, along with Grandpa Damon Anderson; Great Grandparents Melvin and Maxine (Spaulding) Anderson, Clarence and Frances (Fontaine) Severson, Hyman and Bernice (Austin) Winger and  Annella (Vanyo) Swartz; Great Uncle Terry Winger and distant cousin Jessica Reule (Rosencrans). 

We would like to thank all the Altru staff members who kindly cared for us throughout this journey especially Dr. Ciara Johnson and Nurse Tricia. Thank you to the many family and friends who have offered us support during this difficult time. 

Ava’s life will be celebrated with a graveside family service on Wednesday, September 6.  She will remain in our lives and hearts forever.
