Arlene E. Mach, 86, Grand Forks, died Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Edgewood in Grand Forks.

Arlene Elsie Dobson was born to Thomas William Dobson and Ruth Cyrilla (Houdek) Dobson on June 28, 1938 at Minto, North Dakota. She attended school at Voss, North Dakota, and graduated from Minto High School in 1956. She is a 1959 graduate of Mayville State Teachers College with a 2 year standard degree to teach up to 8th grade. 

 Arlene married Eugene Mach on June 7, 1960 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Minto ND. 

She enjoyed reading, baking lots of pizza and working with special needs children.  

Arlene is survived by her children, Tammi Price (Marc),Tom Mach (Dina), Mike Mach (Margaret) and Leann Goss (Rick); 8 grandchildren, Tom Mach, Jr., Candi Mach, Daniel Mach, Jennifer Krenik, Bradley Price, Dani Mach, Ben Goss, Harrison Goss and 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Ardell Dobson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Mach, her parents, and brothers, Gene, Donnie, and Dennis Dobson.

A Celebration of Life for Arlene and  Eugene  will be held for  on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 3 to 5 p.m. with a a 4:00 p.m. Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories.  

Mass of Christian Burial for Arlene and Eugene will be  11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks. 

Arlene and Eugene will be Interred in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Minto, North Dakota 

Memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
