Antoinette "Toni" Marie D'Heilly, 95, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Grand Forks, ND on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021.

Antoinette was born on April 18, 1926, in Manitoba, Canada. She was the daughter of Willy & Cedulie (Bedard) Gagnon. She grew up in South Junction with her 9 siblings.

She married Clifford D’Heilly on June 3, 1974. They were together for 47 years. They made their home in Neche, ND and later moved to Grand Forks, ND in 2004 to be closer to family.

After years of working as a nurse’s aide at Deaconess Hospital, she worked as a gifted seamstress at a dry cleaner in Cavalier, ND. Toni and Cliff were also caregivers for family and friends.

She loved sewing, flowers, and gardening. If she wasn’t at home entertaining friends and family with homemade meals and treats, she could be found at local casinos as gambling was also a fun past time for her and her Mystic Lake Golden Girls. She had a heart of gold and was welcoming to everyone she met.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic church and a member of American Legion Auxiliary in East Grand Forks, MN.

Toni is survived by her husband, Clifford; children, Patricia Braun, Claudette (Dennis) D’Heilly, Joanne (Lynn) Eichhorst; daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Wojciechowski; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and sons; Teddy & Gerard and grandchildren Michael and Matthew Wojciechowski as well as son-in-law Harold Braun.

The family would like to thank Hospice and everyone for your love, support, and prayers.

Memorial Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Forks with visitation one hour prior to the service from 9-10 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
