Anthony Stephen Cariveau

Anthony "Tony" Cariveau, 73 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, North Dakota. No services will be held at this time.

Tony was born on December 15, 1950, the son of Clifford and Dolores (Kain) Cariveau in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He graduated from Red River High School. Tony was united in marriage to Chris Olsen on May 27, 1972, in Edina, Minnesota. They made their home in White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

Tony was a self-employed painter for most of his life. He retired as a self-employed painter and tax professional.

Tony enjoyed golf, playing cards with friends, and serving his church.

Tony is survived by his wife, Chris Cariveau of Grand Forks, ND; sons, Bret (Cassidy) Cariveau of Grand Forks, ND, and Sean (Natalie) Cariveau of Hugo, MN; six grandchildren; brothers, Dr. Tom (Kim) Cariveau of Grand Forks, ND and Pierre (Lyn) Cariveau of Monticello, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Renee Julison.
