Angeline Marie Berger, 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Good Samaritan Home, Larimore, North Dakota. She was surrounded by loving family, caring staff of the nursing home, and a Hospice of the Red River Valley nurse.
Angeline Marie Berger the daughter of Steven and Adelaide Rudnik, was born September 13, 1939, in Deaconess Hospital, in Grafton, North Dakota.
Angie spent her childhood in Walsh County where she attended a one room schoolhouse through 3rd grade and then continued her education in Grafton.
Angeline married Orlin Lavern Berger on August 17, 1957. They lived in Crystal, North Dakota, St. Thomas, North Dakota, and then moved to Emerado in 1960 where they made their home and raised their 4 children.
In 2022, Angeline moved to Larimore where she resided at the Good Samaritan Home.
Angie was always active with the Emerado community, including the school, park board, bowling league, and various jobs. She was her grandkid’s biggest cheerleader at all their sporting events. Her grandkids loved her famous nachos loaded with cheese! Angie loved taking photos with grandchildren and great grandchildren and couldn’t wait to hang them on her wall. She cherished time spent with her family and friends.
Angeline is survived by her 4 children: Sandra (Steve) Sand, Gary (Margo) Berger, Debbie (Jeff) Shields, Lavern (Elizabeth) Berger; 9 Grandchildren: Shane (Sarah) Sand, Shannon (Aaron) Hunter, Nathan (Melissa) Berger, Lindsey (Joey) Voelker, Morgan (Shane) Cole, Megan (Ryan) Hejlik, Meredith (John) Boe, Brandon (Sarah) Berger, Eric (Rachel) Berger; 19 great grandchildren: Spencer, Brayden, Maggie, Grayson, Kellan, Finn, Natalie, Liam, Chance, Savanna, Calvin, Ethan, Renner, Lane, Evelyn, Adelaide, Julian, Lucelia, Bode; 3 siblings: Shirley Bruers, Diane Cox, Steve (Mary) Rudnik; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orlin, and grandson Cory.
Per Angie’s request, a Graveside Service will be held, Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Prairie Cemetery, Emerado, North Dakota.
