Andrew Jacob Gores passed away at the age of 38 on Friday the 13th, March 2020 at Altru hospital in Grand Forks, surrounded by his family. He loved family and life. Fishing at Lake of the woods with his four brothers and dad was a yearly event. Other things he enjoyed was MN Vikings, Star Wars and playing Pokemon go.
He was born August of 1981, in Baudette, MN at Lake of the Woods. Later the family moved to Fargo, ND. He was in Cub Scouts, Red River Boys Choir, Jr. ROTC. and Boy Scouts. After high school he was GM at Wendy's. After moving to Grand Forks, he became GM at Subway. His wife and family bought their first house and moved to Thompson and later he became Regional Manager of Spicy Pie. He enjoyed being a part of his boys Cub Scout troops and other activities. Andrew had a great sense of humor. He loved a good joke and playing pranks. He loved adventures to new places and had a very caring heart for helping others. His final act of caring for others was to be an organ and tissue donor where his donation helped many others.
He is survived by wife, Shari (Thompson, ND); parents, Linda Gores (Fargo) and Ron Gores Sr. (Grand Forks) Also 5 sons, Jonathan, Alex, Lucas (Grand Forks), Evan and Gabe. (Thompson, ND) He has two stepsons, Zach (Grand Forks) and Kenny and two grandchildren. 6 siblings, Ron Jr, (April) Fishkill, NY, Jennifer Beck (Leonard), Morehead, Dan (Rose), El Paso, TX, Adam (Brittany), Fargo, Barb Tanner (Carl) Moorhead, Will (Cynthia) Fargo, 19 nieces and nephews; Grandpa, Bombeck, aunts, uncles and cousins and special friends, Todd and Carolyn Berning and the Spicy Pie family.
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, there will be a private family memorial service held on Friday, March 2020 at Hope Church, Grand Forks.
