Alfred Marshall Hagen

Alfred Hagen, 89 of Grand Forks, North Dakota died Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Valley Senior Living, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.

Alfred was born on March 23, 1934, the son of Alford and Mae (Anderson) Hagen in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central High School in 1952. He also attended Concordia College for a brief time.

Alfred cared for his grandmother and great aunt for many years. Alfred was an active member of United Lutheran Church and helped at the church when he could until recent years due to failing health.

Alfred was an avid stamp collector and took pride in his diverse collection of stamps. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family, especially his friend of recent years, Suzzane Widdel and her dog, Bella.

Alfred is survived by his sisters, Rosalie (Gerald) Johnson of Fargo, ND and Jacqueline Bateman of Bonney Lake, WA; nieces and nephews, Steve, Greg, Jim, Sherry, Jeff and JoAnn.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Jay.
