Adolph Krogstad, 101, of Hatton, ND and formerly of Reynolds, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Hatton Prairie Village in Hatton, ND.

Adolph was born to Ole and Mathilda (Dahl)Krogstad on March 11, 1920, on their farm west of Reynolds, ND.  Adolph was baptized and confirmed at Stjordalen Lutheran Church, rural Reynolds.  He was a member of the church until it closed in 2005, where he then belonged to Reynolds Lutheran Church.  He farmed with his father in the early years and later with his brothers Joe and Oliver as Krogstad Brothers.  Adolph was united in marriage to Carrie Brokke on August 1, 1942 and they made their home west of Reynolds.  They had a wonderful life together until Carrie’s passing in 2007.

Adolph was a hard-working, fun-loving man who liked a good joke and a good laugh.  He was a bit of a prankster.  Carrie and Adolph loved and were devoted to all of their children and grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Gatherings of any kind were always more fun when Adolph was around.  Even in Hatton Prairie Village, Adolph liked to join in the fun until his body just got too tired to participate.

Adolph is survived by:  his sons, Donald (Nancy) Krogstad, Grand Forks, ND, Kent (Valerie) Krogstad, Hatton, ND, and Jan Krogstad, Gold Canyon, AZ; a son-in-law, Marlin Miller, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Curtis (Jill) Whitmoyer, Cory Whitmoyer, Jason (Katie) Krogstad, Andy (Sheri) Krogstad, Jennifer (Brad) Heisler, Scott (Mary) Krogstad, Cheri (Tim) McHugo, Lisa Krogstad, Michele (Kyle) Olson; 18 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jeannette Krogstad and Ione Lautt, Grand Forks, ND; brothers-in-law, Lawrence (Jeanette) Brokke and Raymond (Esther) Brokke, Grand Forks, ND as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Judy Whitmoyer; his brothers, Oliver and Joe; sisters, Mabel and Magna; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00, at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks.  Interment will be held at Stjordalen Cemetery, rural Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hatton Prairie Village or Reynolds Lutheran Church.
