Arlo R. Pearson, 72, East Grand Forks, Minnesota, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks. Arlo Ray Pearson was born February 24, 1936 at Lake Bronson, Minnesota to Edward and Ellen (Agman) Pearson. He grew up in the Lake Bronson area and graduated from Lake Bronson High School. He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He married Dorryce Sjoberg on May 5, 1956 and they raised their family in Grand Forks. In 1985 he married Bernice Hagstrom. They made their home in rural East Grand Forks, MN. Arlo was employed by Braseth Plumbing and Heating in Grand Forks, and later by Lunseth Plumbing and Heating. Arlo enjoyed watching NASCAR races, collecting antiques, and was a handyman who liked to help family and friends. He is survived by: sons, Arlyn (Audrey) Pearson, Grand Forks, Brian (Margaret) Pearson, Ruskin, Florida; daughters, Denise (Leon) Lewis, Sioux Falls and JoEllen Purdy, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 8 grandchildren, Aaron, Adam and Amber Pearson, Kaylee and Brenna Gordon, Alex Purdy, Lyrica and Kimberly Lewis; one great granddaughter, Sadie Pearson; a brother, Percy (Minnie) Pearson, Salem, Oregon; a sister, Violet (Earl) Mattson, Lake Bronson, Minnesota; a special family friend, Shirley Konze, East Grand Forks, MN; a special family pet, Angel. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Luverne; a sister Elvoris; and his wife Bernice. Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave. Grand Forks. Visitation: will be from 12-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment: will be at Riverside Cemetery, Lake Bronson, Minnesota.
