Barbara Pedersen

Barbara Elaine Norman Reishus Pedersen, daughter of S. S. and Josephine Norman Reishus, was born in Minot, North Dakota October 11, 1915. She attended Valley City State College and later, the University of Washington in Seattle. Her marriage to the Rev. Dr. Walter M. Pedersen took place in 1935 in Minot, North Dakota. Together they served Lutheran churches in Enumclaw, WA (Trinity), Thief River Falls, MN (Zion), Seattle, WA (Ascension) and Chicago, IL (St. Stephan). Her husband, Dr. Pedersen, passed this life March 5, 1983. She was known as a gifted singer. She leaves to mourn two cousins, Dr. Roy A. Harrisville of St. Paul, MN and Mrs. Carol (Theodore J.) Lund, Seattle, WA; two sisters-in law, Myrtle E. Pedersen, Prof. Emeritus UND, of Bloomington, MN and Ruth (C.M.) Johnson of Hudson, WI; a niece, Virginia Morrow; grandniece, Jenna Eckholm; grandnephew, Marco Strom, their families and a host of friends. She was a member of the Sharon Lutheran Church.
