Barbara Panzer Hancock, 103, Grand Forks, died Monday, June 16, 2008 in Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center, Grand Forks. Barbara Panzer was born to William Longmuir and Alma Schott on February 17, 1905 at Emerson, Manitoba, Canada. She married Emil Panzer, Sr. in Crookston, Minnesota. She resided in Crookston, Minnesota, and Grand Forks, North Dakota. She later married Dale Hancock. Barbara was a member of the VFW in Crookston, Minnesota, and the American Legion in East Grand Forks. She enjoyed crochet, knitting, dancing, and watching hockey and baseball. She also enjoyed all who visited, and called her during her time at Valley Eldercare. She is survived by a son, Emil Panzer, Jr. (Delores), Grand Forks, North Dakota; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren' many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; daughters, Gloria Sappington, Marilyn Bertram; a son, Dwain Panzer; a grandson, Ray Panzer; sisters, Marjorie Dealy, Mary Houghton, Kay Panzer, Audrey Snider; brothers, William Longmuir, and Al Longmuir. Services: will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be for the hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment: will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks.
