Blanche F. Lembke, 86, of Grand Forks, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Blanche was born on December 17, 1920, to William & Martha (Penno) Seeba in rural Grafton, ND, where she grew up and attended country schools. Blanche married Leonard Lembke on August 26, 1941, in Grafton, ND. They farmed until 1958 when they moved to Grand Forks. Leonard died in 1985. Blanche worked in potato processing for many years before retiring from J.R. Simplot. Blanche was a member of the Grand Forks Ladies Auxiliary # 1874, the East Grand Forks American Legion Post #157, and was a Gold Star mother. Blanche is survived by sons, Dwaine (Hope) Lembke, William (Wanda) Lembke, Raymond (Joan) Lembke; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a brother Floyd Seeba. She was preceded in death by husband, Leonard, son, Melvin, 4 sisters and 1 brother. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, at United Lutheran Church 324 Chestnut St. in Grand Forks. VISITATION: Wednesday, September 26, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. Visitation will continue the hour prior to the funeral service at the church. INTERMENT: Memorial Park South, Grand Forks, ND
