Bronald "B.C." Thompson, 96, of Grand Forks, formerly of Bismarck, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, in 4000 Valley Square, Grand Forks, ND. Bronald Carlyle Thompson was born May 13, 1911, in Fillmore, ND, the son of Tom and Pearl (McMillian) Thompson. He grew up and attended school in Fillmore, ND, and graduated from Butte High School. He married Inga Brenno on September 18, 1933, in Fillmore. They raised their six children in Oberon where he managed the Oberon Grain Elevator until 1968. He also served as a state senator from 1958-1966. In 1968, Bronald was appointed to the Worker's Compensation Commission for the state of North Dakota and later chaired the commission until his retirement in 1981. Inga died on April 28, 1981. Bronald married Betty Lovell in 1983. Betty died in 2004. Bronald lived in Bismarck until 2006 when he moved to Grand Forks. Bronald is survived by: Daughters: Audrey (Dale) Moug - Sioux Falls, SD Judy (Loren) Koppelman - Bloomington, MN Myrna (Glen) Engle - Wahpeton, ND Lois (Michael) Delmore - Grand Forks, ND Son: Mark (Sharla) Thompson - Thompson, ND Step Daughter: Bernice (Carroll) Smathers - Waynesville, NC Step Son: Vic Lovell - Centertown - MO Step Daughters-in-law: Ida Lovell - Jefferson City, MO Cindy Lovell - Bismarck, ND Brother: Edwin "Sonny" Thompson - Riverside, CA Sisters: Marion Zimmerman - Devils Lake, ND Corrine Leibfried - Penn, ND Daughter-in-law: Alice Thompson - Simi, CA 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, 13 Step Grandchildren and 23 Great Step Grandchildren Bronald was preceded in death by: Son: Curtis Thompson Infant Daughter: Ruth Elaine Thompson Step mother: Ada Thompson Wives: Inga and Betty His parents Step Sons: Al and Jerry Lovell
