Edith Lilleberg, 92,of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Valley Memorial Homes Eldercare Center in Grand Forks. Edith Sylvia Johnson was born on November 14, 1915 at Buxton, North Dakota to Pete and Selma Johnson. Edith Went to school and was confirmed at Buxton, North Dakota. Edith loved living on the farm with her parents where she enjoyed doing the farm work. On November 9, 1939 she married Vernon Lilleberg. They lived in Buxton where they owned a café for several years. Edith and Vernon moved to Grand Forks in 1955 where she worked in café's until her retirement. She became a homemaker after retiring and loved to cook and bake and they always loved to entertain. Edith was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church and belonged to Tabitha Circle for many years. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in 2007 and her parents, Pete and Selma Johnson, two brothers, Joseph of Buxton, N.D., and Albert of Hillsboro, ND. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and lots of good special friends that she loved so much and made her life so complete. She lived each day by her faith and her prayers which she said helped her through good times and difficult times. Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Ave., Grand Forks. Visitation: will be from 4 to 6 p.m. with a 6:00 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Amundson Funeral Home, 2975 S. 42nd St., Grand Forks, and for the hour prior to the service in the church. Interment: will be in Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks.
