Gloria H. Satrom, Grand Forks, ND died at Valley 4000 Woodside Village on Monday, June 23, 2008. Gloria was an caring, unselfish, devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Gloria was born January 4, 1922 in Walcott, ND daughter of Rosina and Knute Jordheim. She was one of 10 children, with a twin brother Bob. She lived and went to school in Walcott, ND until they moved to Grand Forks, where she graduated from Central High School in 1939. Gloria married Kenneth Satrom on November 10, 1946 at United Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. ND. The couple lived their entire married life in Grand Forks, where they raised their two sons, Tom and Jim. Gloria was a bookkeeper at Grand Forks Glass and Paint for many years, and also did bookkeeping for her son, Jim, at PS Doors. She was active in the United Lutheran Church, PEO, YWCA (president at one time), and Grand Forks Curling Club (president of the Grand Forks Scotties, Women's Curling Club). She was avid UND Sioux sports fan and enjoyed watching hockey, baseball (Twins) and football (Vikings) on t.v. Gloria's biggest enjoyment in life was being with her family, especiallyher grandchildren, She enjoyed hosting all the holiday events making memories that her family can cherish forever. She is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers (Herman, Gilman, Norris and twin brother Bob Jordheim) and 1 sister (Marie Jordheim Fredrickson). Survivors include, her husband Kenneth of 62 years, her children Thomas (Barb), Cambridge, MN; Jim (Corinne), Grand Forks, ND. Grandchildren: Mary Satrom Clark (Ed), Susan Satrom Kaspar (Jason), Jane Satrom, Grant Satrom and Daniel Satrom, and great grandchildren, Lucas Clark, and twins Josh and Kyle Clark. Her brother Kenneth Jordheim, her sisters, Goodie Hertsgaard and Dorothy Olson.
