Harvey W. Kelstrom, 79, Grand Forks, ND died Saturday, September 22, 2007 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Harvey was born March 4, 1928 in Grand Forks, the son of John and Clara (Englund) Kelstrom. He was raised and educated in Grand Forks and graduated from Central High School. As a young man, Harvey delivered groceries in Grand Forks. He worked for Bridgeman Dairy and later as an assistant manager of the Uptown Bowling Alley. Harvey worked for the North Dakota State Mill and Elevator for 47 years reaching the position of Weigh Master before his retirement in 1990. He also served as head of the local chapter of the Grain Millers Union for two years. Harvey loved spending time at his lake home on Maple Lake, MN. During Harvey and Lorraine's time at the lake they welcomed everyone into their home. They entertained family and friends, getting great joy from sharing their lake retreat. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Harvey's beloved wife was Alice "Lorraine" (Daily) whom he married on October 13, 1947 in Grand Forks. She died August 4, 1997. Survivors include his daughters, Bonnie Miller, Grand Forks and Penny (Mike) Kelstrom,-Rudow, Grand Forks; son, Robert Kelstrom, Florida; grandchildren, April (Jeremy) Brown, San Antonio, TX, Desiree Miller, Grand Forks and Emma Rudow, Grand Forks; great grandchild, D'Angelo Brown, San Antonio, TX. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, William and by brothers, Clifton, Milton and Robert.
